2026 Workshop Series

Developing practices for profitable, sustainable sheep production in a variable climate

MerinoLink invites sheep producers, advisors and consultants to attend a free workshop exploring practical strategies for improving productivity, profitability and resilience in a variable climate.

These workshops are part of the Developing practices for profitable, sustainable sheep production in a variable climate project, led by Charles Sturt University in partnership with Green Blue Health Pty Ltd, Four Seasons Company Pty Ltd and JM Livestock. Supported by the Australian Government through funding from the Climate-Smart Agriculture Program under the Natural Heritage Trust, the project is focused on helping producers make informed, practical decisions that support profitable sheep production while protecting natural resources.

The workshops will build on producer feedback gathered during previous sessions and introduce the next stage of the project, including research into confinement feeding of pregnant ewes and the comparison of different ration options. Participants will have the opportunity to hear about emerging findings, discuss practical management considerations, share their own experiences, and contribute to research designed to meet producer needs.

Workshops will be held across NSW and Victoria in July 2026, including Junee, Bathurst, Cumnock, Uralla and Benalla. Attendance is free, but registration is essential for catering purposes.
